The shipping container arrived in Samoa just before Christmas, and thanks to the help of many of our contacts there was successfully delivered to the care of The Nazarene Church in Ululoloa. Their pastors and members are continuing to oversee the distribution of the contents of the shipping container to make sure that it is received by those who need it most.
Several leaders of our local Logan Church of the Nazarene including the senior Pastor travelled to Samoa in early January, to meet the some of the people there who were so devastated by the tsunami and are now rebuilding their village.
Thanks to the generosity of so many people who supported our efforts to fundraise and fill our shipping container, our senior pastor was able to present the pastor of the Ululoloa Church with a cheque for AUD$5000, or about WST $10700, in addition to the items in the container.
