CARDIOVASCULAR ACTIVITY FOR A STRONG HEART!
Cardiovascular activities can be loosely defined as ones which involve participating in physical activity for overall extended periods of time. We all hear that our heart will benefit from cardiovascular, or more commonly know aerobic activities, but how does our heart benefit from these? Well the heart is a muscle which, like all of our other muscles, when exercised becomes stronger or if ignored becomes weaker. Taking part in regular cardiovascular activities each week will help the heart muscle become bigger and more powerful, allowing it to pump a greater amount of blood each minute (increase in stroke volume). This is why as we become fitter our heart rate decreases at intensities at where initially we thought our heart rate was going through the roof. So cardio activities for a strong heart!

DID YOU KNOW: The heart of a normal individual beats about 40 million
times per year!
Thanks Alex to your dedication to the heath of others. Thanks also for the above info on our hearts and for putting it in a language we can connect with. Last week I started to get my daughter up out of bed early and take her for a walk. It is not just for her but for me also. We don’t get tho spend a lot of time together so this is a good way for us to connect and together we can get in shape. There are 7 weeks of school holidays so we are doing a 7 week challenge. Hopefully she can go back to school next year feeling more positve about herself and be proud of the fact that she has acheived something out of her own strenght.
God bless you Alex keep on inspiring us.
